Within the last few years plans have been approved to regenerate Gainsborough's riverside. Old buildings are being transformed into living accommodation (with a wonderful view over the Trent) and leisure facilities. The riverside path from Whitton's Gardens to Trent Bridge has been extended and restored, and the flood defences strengthened.

These photographs all show aspects of the new walkway that forms part of the Riverside Regeneration project.
